galesburgpolicelogoPolice arrested three Galesburg residents in connection with methamphetamine on Wednesday.
Police responded to 996 Willard street at approximately 6:45 a.m. Wednesday after a 9-1-1 call was abruptly hung up.

30 year-old Ashley Anderson, 29 year-old Curtis Wright Jr. and 56 year-old James Ray were charged with production of 100-400 grams of meth. Ray and Anderson also are being charged with possession of meth.

Ray told police he called 9-1-1 because they spilled acid on the floor.

Police reported that Ray had a swollen lip and looked like he had been recently bleeding. Ray told police that Anderson and Wright had held him down and injected him with what he believed was drugs, and that he was having a hard time breathing. Ray was taken to OSF St. Mary’s by ambulance.

Officers found multiple backpacks at the residence that contained materials used for meth production, and several syringes. More than 460 grams of meth was seized from the site.

Anderson and Wright are being held at Knox County Jail on $500,000 bond, and Ray is being held as well, on $200,000 bond.
