Super Clean Car Wash To Open in Galesburg

Galesburg-city-signA Super Clean Car Wash will be coming to Galesburg, and is expected to be completed in 90 to 120 days.

That’s according to local businessman and owner Mark Kleine, who says he expects construction crews to break ground at the location on Carl Sandburg Drive, just West of the new Casey’s General Store in the next couple of weeks.

Kleine says the investment into the business will total approximately $2 Million. He tells WGIL that the car wash will be a “state of the art facility.”

“It’s called a tunnel wash,” says Kleine. “It’s a state of the art wash that at any given time can put through as many as 100 cars an hour. It does a great job of washing and drying. It’s basically a 110-ft. long tunnel, and it will have vacuums on site.”

Kleine added, that an RFID system will be put in place for customers who want to purchase a tag for a monthly fee. Customers with the tag would have the opportunity to use the wash at their discretion on a monthly basis.

The tunnel wash will reportedly employ two full-time staff members. Kleine says he anticipates they will hire anywhere from six to 10 additional employees. The Galesburg opening will correlate with tunnel car washes being built across the country–two of which were recently constructed in Peoria.
