Galesburg Residents Get Splattered by Paintballs from Passing Car

galesburgpolicelogoAt approximately 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, Galesburg Police responded to information of a white Cadillac driving around firing paintballs at residents.The car hit residents between North Prairie street and East Ferris street, but police did not locate the vehicle at the time.
Later on, police were advised of complaints on Windish avenue.

Resident Matt Knipe told officers he was walking down Prairie street when he spotted the white Cadillac and was hit with an orange paintball on the left side of his waist from a passenger in the back of the car.

Officers spotted a similar vehicle on Abingdon street, and were flagged down by neighbors, who reported also being hit with a paintball while walking on Lincoln Street.

Resident Dillon McBride told officers he was hit on his left hand and was given a ride home in the similar looking white Cadillac.

Officers noted welts on both Knipe and McBride, confirming they were hit.

Galesburg police are still on the lookout for the white Cadillac used in the attacks.
