William O. Clark 92 of Abingdon, IL formally of Alexis, IL passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015, 7:30 pm at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born Friday September 22, 1922 in Alexis, IL the son of Floyd and Merle Stoner Clark. He married Elizabeth M. “Bobbity” Cox on July 11, 1946. She preceded him on June 15, 2011.
He is survived by cousins Howard Leonard Porter III “Len” (Mary Ellen) of Winter Haven, FL, Ross Edward Porter (Joanna) of Smithport, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
He was reared and educated in Alexis, IL. He was an electronics expert. He was employed at Colombia Records recording studio in Hollywood, CA, and appeared in two war time films. He operated Bills TV and Service for many years in Alexis, IL. He was a member of the Alexis Presbyterian Church Alexis, IL.
Graveside service will by held Tuesday June 30, 2015, 2:45 pm at the Alexis Cemetery, with a visitation from 1:30-2:30 pm at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL. A reception at 110 N.
