Stanley Cup to add Touch of Bling to Chicago Pride Parade

CHICAGO (AP) — There’s more partying in store for the bar-hopping Stanley Cup.

The trophy, won by the Chicago Blackhawks, is making an appearance at Sunday’s Chicago Pride parade after more than a week of being carted around from party to party.

The Pride parade in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood will be even more energized this year thanks to Friday’s Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

The 35-pound, 3-foot high silver trophy will add a touch of bling to the festivities. It’ll ride on the WGN Radio float along with Blackhawks representatives.

The parade begins at noon.
