Cheline, Thomas W.

Mr. Thomas W. Cheline, 62, of Aledo, Illinois died at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born November 7, 1952 in Galesburg, Illinois to Robert Raymond and Elizabeth Freberg Cheline. He married Nancy M. Carlson November 29, 1980 in North Henderson, Illinois. She preceded him in death July 24, 1993.

Surviving are two daughters, Molly Cheline of Aledo and Kelly (and Kyle) Cratty of Aurora, Illinois; five brothers, Ed (and Sue) Cheline of Rio, Illinois, Dick (and Connie) Cheline of Altona, Illinois, Jack (and Linda) Cheline of Kewanee, Illinois, Ray Cheline of Princeton, Illinois, and Larry (and Michelle) Cheline of Galva, Illinois; his sister, Linda (and Pete) Van DeVelde of Galva; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Sue (and Bill) Barrington of Little York, Illinois and Gus (and Corie) Carlson of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Andy Cheline.

Tom graduated from Galva High School and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1974. He was a farmer and a master carpenter his entire life. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Cemetery Board.

Cremation will be accorded. A private family memorial service will be Monday, July 20, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel.   Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery in North Henderson. Celebration of his life will be held 4 to10 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Bob Cheline’s residence in North Henderson.
