Monmouth College Exceed Expectations for Fundraising Efforts

Monmouth CollegeMonmouth College just finished off their “Fulfilling the Promise” Campaign, and reached two accomplishments with their results.According to a press release, The “Fulfilling the Promise” campaign began in 2013 with a goal of $75 million and ended on June 30th at just over $78 million.

Campaign Chair Bill Goldsborough says this will allow them to “sustain and enhance important academic initiatives to increase student engagement and create an endowment fund for student financial aid and scholarships.”

Through these funds, more than $8 million was raised for scholarships and $15 million was raised for current operations.

In addition to that achievement, Monmouth also reached a fundraising challenge for the Monmouth Fund three years early. Seven years ago, the Board of Trustees issued a challenge for the college to double it’s funds when it reached it’s milestone of $1 million. The board called for the challenge to be 10 years, but Monmouth College has already gone beyond the $2 million mark, with nearly 3,500 donors contributing.
