Anderson, JennieJennie Anderson, 87, of the Wesley Village Retirement Center, Macomb, died late Saturday (July 18, 2015) at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA, after a brief illness.

Jennie was born at the family farm outside of Sciota on March 20, 1928, a daughter to Ervin and Josie (Guy) Torrance.  She married Merlyn Anderson on February 12, 1949 in East Peoria.  He proceeded her in death in 1964. Jennie was also married to Charles Hatch and James Mckee.

Surviving her are her daughters Teresa (Steve) Parker, Burlington, IA, Patsy Reynolds, Chattanooga, TN, and Rhonda (Richard) Coyle, Normal, IL.

Also surviving are her sisters Alice Paulsgrove, Galesburg, Grace Bond, Macomb, Ralph (Marlyn) Torrance, Lomax, George, of Biggsville, lL, and sister-in-law Helen Torrance of Oquawka.

Also surviving are her grandchildren Jennifer Reynolds, Knoxville, TN, Julie (John) Henderson, and Amy Reynolds of Chattanooga, TN, Amanda Coyle Gulf Shores, AL, and Nick Coyle, Normal, IL.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn, her parents, and her brother Frank, sister-in-law Reta Torrance, and brother-in-law Jess Bond.

She and her husband farmed for many years.  Mom was a computer programmer, book keeper, CNA, 4-H leader blood donor, and a lifelong volunteer member and volunteer of the United Methodist Church.  She was a strong believer in her own education, and supported her daughters in receiving their college degrees. Mom was also a 4-H Alumni winner, and a three-time State Cornhusking Champion.

Her funeral will be Thursday July 23, 2015 10:00 am. at The Roseville United Methodist Church in Roseville, IL with the Rev. James Oliver officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday eve. July 22, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm. at The Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL.    Burial will be at at the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery, Wise Family Funeral Home of Monmouth is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to Wesley Village or the Wesley Village Benevolent Fund in Macomb, the American Cancer Society, the International Myeloma Foundation.
