Galesburg Man Pleads Not Guilty in Sexual Assault and Child Porn Case

Jenkins, Bobby JoA Galesburg man who faces a string of charges in relation to criminal sexual assault and child pornography plead not guilty in Knox County Circuit Court today. 45-year-old Bobby Jo Jenkins was arrested on July 6th after a two week investigation by Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Upon investigation, child pornography was found, which led to a single count of aggravated child pornography. Jenkins also faces five counts of predatory criminal sexual assault. Jenkins allegedly had sexual intercourse with female under the age of 13 this past May.

All five charges of criminal sexual assault are considered Class X felonies, which could carry a maximum prison sentence of 60 years a piece. A 30 year maximum could accompany the child pornography charge.

Jenkins appeared with his East Moline Attorney, Daniel Dalton once again this afternoon. He will return to court for a jury trial September 8th at 9 a.m. Jenkins remains held in Knox County Jail on $500,00 bond.
