Perschnick, PaulMr. Paul C. Perschnick, 73, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 at his home.

He was born March 30, 1942 in Galesburg, the son of George Clyde and Kay R. Adams Perschnick. He married Susan D. Plummer on January 24, 1964 in Galesburg.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan; a son, Kurtis Paul Perschnick of Keystone Heights, Florida; a sister, Sue E. Cardey of Loves Park, Illinois; two brothers-in-law, Mac (and Annella) Plummer of Galesburg and William Craig of Galva, Illinois; and three sisters-in-law, Earleen Farrell, Carabeth Benson, and Dorothy (and Ray) Pickrel, all of Galesburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha and Earl Plummer; four brothers-in-law, Dale Cardey, Butch Farrell, Tim Benson, and Jack Savidge; a sister-in-law, Nancy Craig; and one nephew, Dennis Pickrel.

Paul worked for Gates Rubber Company for 34 years, retiring on April 30, 1997. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1960. He had restored a 1974 TR6 and was a former member of the British Auto Club of the Tri-Cities and Peoria. Paul enjoyed running in his younger years and had been an airplane pilot for many years.   He enjoyed river boat casinos.

Cremation will be accorded. Graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jim Ecklund will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
