Galesburg – Pamela Jean Gray, 53 of Galesburg and formerly of Abingdon and Berwick, died at 4:20 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Roseville Rehabilitation and Health Care.
She was born May 29, 1962 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, the daughter of Ronald “Tiny” Gray, Sr. and Sally Jane Hoadley Gray.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Ashlee Gray of Galesburg, two grandsons who were the light of her life, Zachary and James; her mother, Sally Gray of Galesburg; one sister, Wanda (Gary) Penn of Cameron; and two brothers, Michael (Diane) Hoadley of Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Steven (Joan) Gray of Burlington, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Roger Gray and Ronald “Kenny” Gray, Jr.
Pam grew up in Berwick and lived her adult life in Abingdon and Galesburg. She graduated from Roseville High School in 1980. She worked as a CNA at the former LaMoine Christian Nursing Home in Roseville for 25 years and later at the Hawthorne Inn in Galesburg for the past 9 years. She enjoyed her grandkids, gambling and listening to 80’s music.
Cremation will be accorded. To celebrate her life, the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel.
