Lear PaulPaul Lear, 90, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 3:04 A.M. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Galesburg, Illinois.  Paul went to join his bride of 68 years in Heaven.   

He was born on October 15, 1924 in rural Greenville, Kentucky, the son of Willie and Lessie Jane Hall Lear.  He served in World War Two in the Pacific Theatre.  He married Charlotte Baxter on January 8, 1947 in Greenville, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2015.

He owned Lear’s Welding and constructed many of the grain bins used in the area today.  He worked at Butler retiring after 39 years.  He enjoyed woodworking, farming, and most of all his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Teresa (Jay) Wise of Galesburg, Illinois and Debora Johnson of Galesburg, Illinois; four grandchildren, Ja`net Burdette, Bob Avila, Christy Clark, and Nicole Kindhart; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia Kniss, Kaliyah Wilson, Sophia Armstrong, Cash Avila, Anahi` Kindhart, Isaac Avila, Giovani Kindhart, Rajen Wilson, and a soon to be ninth great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Edward Lear; three brothers, Roscoe, Lloyd, and Dee; three sisters, Mary Belle, Dicie, and Juanita.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the Marantha Chapel, Highway 150 and 17, Alpha, Illinois. There will be no visitation.  Rev.
