After nearly a year of renovation work, Yemm Ford at the corner of West Main and Linwood Road should finally be opening it’s doors with a new look next week.
General Sales Manager Mike Glasnovich says there were a few minor renovations to still be done, which pushed back the original expected opening date of August 1st.
Glasnovich tells WGIL that renovations included work throughout the entire building from offices to bathrooms and even the service department.
“It’s a brand new building all the way from the service department all the way through up front,” says Glasnovich. “It’s a complete demolition of the old building, so new offices for personnel and the sales office, showroom floor, restrooms, waiting rooms and the garage.”
Glasnovich says Yemm remodeled the old Lakis Ford/Dodge dealership to look more like the newer Ford Dealership locations, which involved removing the largely recognizable dome that used to sit on top of the building.
Glasnovich says they are anticipating opening sometime next week and will hold a grand opening, but are not sure of a specific date at this time.
