With schools staring up in the past few weeks, the Regional Superintendent is preparing for her first year with Knox county added to her region.

Regional Superintendent Jodi Scott says they have been back and forth between the Warren County and Knox County offices.

Scott tells Galesburg’s Morning News on WGIL that she holds superintendent meetings every month to see how the Regional Office of Education can aid local districts.

“I have superintendent’s meetings every month, and sometimes I feel like just by sharing some of the news I’ve beat them up and sent them on their way–they get a little doom and gloom sometimes,” says Scott. “The thing about having people around the table and working on getting through the times that we are in and the budgets we are in, we get to share how is everyone handling this? What can we do together? How as the district can we help you? That is one of the benefits of a regional office, is that sometimes we can work through the regional office and share those services.”

Scott says they are working on consistency between the districts as she works as an intermediate between the state board of education and the districts.
