East St. Louis Woman Charged in Hit-and-Run

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (AP) – A 19-year-old East St. Louis woman has been arrested on charges of driving through a crowd in an incident captured on camera and widely circulated on social media.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that Moesha Allen was taken into custody Friday, three days after she was charged with using her car to run over four people during an argument that began at the St. Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights. A bystander recorded the late June encounter.

Allen is being held without bond on four counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, four counts of battery in a public place and one count of failing to report an injury after a motor vehicle crash. The victims weren’t seriously injured.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Allen.
