(Van Winkle) Pease, Patricia

Patricia (Van Winkle) Pease, 65 of Galesburg, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Marigold Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Galesburg.

She was born December 20, 1949 in Monmouth, the daughter of Lyman and Marguerite Jean Keith Van Winkle.

Patricia is survived by one son, James A. (Amanda) Van Winkle of Shelbyville; two daughters, Loressa (Brian) Selby of Tower Hill and Lori Pease of Windsor; her husband, Leonard Pease; her grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Maranda, Janeya, Caleb, Brayden and Brookelyn; one sister, Verna Cox of Galesburg; two nephews, Roger (Gina) Van Winkle of Galesburg and Clint Cox of Galesburg; her great nephews, Ian Van Winkle and Dalten Shumaker; her best friend forever, Joyce Kirby of Monmouth; and Mary Thompson and Virginia Sage who were like sisters to her.  She is also survived by many cousins and friends from coast to coast.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter Shawna Birden, and her brother-in-law, Bobby Cox.

She graduated from Monmouth High School in 1967.  She attended Brown’s Business College in Galesburg and later graduated from Carl Sandburg College Nursing Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She had worked at the Ordinance Plant in Burlington, Iowa, Western Stoneware in Monmouth and last worked at the Shelbyville Manor.

Cremation will be accorded.  Private graveside service will be held at the Center Grove Cemetery near Kirkwood.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
