State Health Care Association Honors Seminary Manor Employee

IHCAAn employee of the Seminary Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Galesburg recently received a significant accolade form the Illinois Health Care Association.

Connie Pople was named Activity Professional of the Year for her efforts working with the local organization.

Pople has served residents at the facility for nearly 30 years now. In a press release, Administrator Tracy Owens says that Pople “makes sure residents are receiving the best care possible and is always putting their needs before her own.”

Nomination for the award is made by peers of the recipient, and the winner is chosen by a task force of the ICHA.

IHCA President John Vrba says the award shows that that those who receive it “truly make a difference in the lives of residents they serve.”

Pople received the award last week and the 65th IHCA convention. IHCA is made up of around 400 long term care facilities and programs around the state.
