Knuth JanetJanet L. Knuth, age 75, of Knoxville, Illinois died at 4:29 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Marigold Rehab & Health Care Center, Galesburg, Illinois.

She was born on November 18, 1939 in Knoxville, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Florence Louise Stewart Craig. She was reared and educated in Knoxville, Illinois. She married Donald Knuth on June 1, 1965 in Dahinda, Illinois.

She is survived by a daughter, Laura Franklin of Keokuk, Iowa; four grandchildren, Chad Craig, Cory Craig, Alex Franklin, and Allyson (Justin) Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Zacory Franklin; two sisters, Barbara Harrison of Viola, Illinois and Donna (Bill) Stancomb of Knoxville, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary Craig and one sister, Pat Leonard.

She was a waitress most of her life, working in the Galesburg and Knoxville areas, working for the Grandview, Steak and Shake and George’s café. She loved Elvis and enjoyed crafting, such as cake decorating, and quilting. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Knoxville, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Rev. David Shreeves officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family.
