Two hospitalized in Henderson Street crash

HendersonStCrash101415A two-vehicle crash that took place on Henderson street this afternoon left two Galesburg residents injured.  Authorities responded to the scene near the McDonald’s at 1072 Henderson around 12:26 p.m.

According to Galesburg Police Officer Dan Williams, Kyle Ischer of Monmouth pulled out of the parking lot, when the front of his maroon Ford Taurus collided with 23-year-old Jasmine Morrow’s black Chevy Impala that was heading South.

Morrow was traveling with a passenger, 29-year-old Sean Straughter. Both were taken to OSF St. Mary Medical Center and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Ischer was left unharmed.

The crash closed one of the southbound lanes on Henderson for approximately 30 minutes, while accident reconstruction crews cleared debris. The Galesburg Hospitals’ Ambulance Service and the Galesburg Fire Department both assisted GPD at the scene.
