ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Rams placed outside linebacker Alec Ogletree on injured reserve-designated to return, three weeks after he had surgery for a fractured right ankle.
Ogletree would be eligible to return for the last two games of the regular season. He would be available if the Rams (3-3) made it to the playoffs. He could return to practice on Dec. 13.
Ogletree was injured in the second half of a 24-22 victory at Arizona on Oct. 4. He still leads the team with 55 tackles, six more than safety T.J. McDonald.
The Rams beat the Browns 24-6 on Sunday, when their defense roughed up Cleveland quarterback Josh McCown. They host San Francisco on Sunday.
