Cottage Opens Walk-in Clinic

Galesburg’s Cottage Hospital has opened up a new medical facility to aid patients across town.

A Walk-in clinic officially opened its doors at the East Main Street Hy-Vee last Monday.

That’s according to Cottage Representative Eileen Innes who tells Galesburg Live on WGIL that the facility will treat a variety of ailments.

“Fevers, minor injuries–excluding breaks and pains, physicals, health screenings, some vaccines, and even allergies or skin rashes,” says Innes. “We’ve had a couple of patients from last week already who really needed to be in the emergency room and so those patients were directed to the emergency room for that care.”

Innes says Cottage held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony over the weekend. She says the new location was really opened to offer convenience.

“We’ve had one over in Monmouth now for a couple of years. It’s just so expedited and convenient, and that’s what we all want today.”

Operation hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 Saturday and noon to 5 Sunday.
