Tucker MarieG. Marie Tucker, age 85 of Knoxville, Illinois died at 3:10 A.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her home.

She was born on October 18, 1930 in Porter, Indiana the daughter of Chester A. and Neona M. McGrew Griffith. She married Joseph B. Tucker on October 30, 1949 in Knoxville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1999.

Surviving are her children:  Joseph B. (Janet) Tucker, Jr. of Knoxville, Illinois, Delores A. “Dee” McGraw of Knoxville, Illinois, and Christine M. Tucker of Knoxville, Illinois; six grandchildren: Rodney Lee McGraw, Knoxville, Illinois, Vickie (Craig) Lynch of Galesburg, Illinois, Danny (Bethany) McGraw, Jr., of Knoxville, Illinois, Jason (Kristin) Tucker of Galesburg, Illinois, Jamie Tucker of Knoxville, Illinois and Teresa Stallings-Kasten of Fredricks, Maryland; nine great-grandchildren: Shelby McGraw, Jacob Lynch, Adrian Hans, Isabella Kasten, Jonah Kasten, Owen Kasten, Kaylynne Tucker, Ava McGraw and Emi McGraw; her sister Charlotte Wetterow of Galesburg, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, son-in-law and two great grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Illinois. Member of the Order of Eastern Star #880 of Knoxville, Illinois, she and her husband served as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron in 1991. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois, with Eastern Star Services following at 2:00 P.M. by the Knoxville Order of Eastern Star #880. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 16, 2015 at 2:15 P.M. at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois with Rev. David Shreeves officiating. A fellowship will be held at the Hurd-Hendricks Fellowship Center following the interment. Interment will be in the Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the family.
