kwells07_2Kim Wells is the Executive Director of the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence, an organization based in Bloomington, IL.

The Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence or CAEPV, is an Illinois based organization that is partnering with the National Football League to help them write policy regarding domestic violence. This issue is at the forefront of national news with the recent allegations of abuse against several prominent NFL players. Kim is a former Illinois State University and Heartland Community College faculty member, as well as serving as  a member of the National Advisory Board for the National Family Justice Center Alliance, the Advisory Board for the Allstate Foundation Domestic Violence Program, the Verizon Foundation Domestic Violence Advisory Board, and the Workplace Committee of the National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence Against Women, among others. She joined us to talk about this issue and the organization’s role with the NFL on the WGIL Morning News.



Interview: Ryan Ricketts

RickettsRyan_700_3565_090Former Galesburg Silver Streak Ryan Ricketts is preparing, along with his WIU teammates to battle their second B1G team in as many weeks.

Ryan Rickets is a 2011 GHS graduate who played football, basketball and track for the Silver Streaks. He is currently the starting left guard for the Western Illinois University football team.  Ryan will graduate from Western in December but will return as a fifth year player for the Leathernecks next season. We had a chance to chat with Ryan about his high school experience in Galesburg and his career at WIU on the WGIL Morning News.
