ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Artem Anisimov scored 1:53 into overtime and the Chicago Blackhawks rallied from a two-goal deficit in the final moments of regulation for a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.
The GHS boys will play two games today with the first one scheduled for 10:40 A.M. against Chicago King and the second at 7:40 P.M. against Peoria Notre Dame. Jim Lee and Brad Bennewitz will cover the action for those matchups. The Fighting Illini will travel to face Northwestern with pregame at 1:30pm. In tonight’s match-up, GHS beat Limestone 83-59. Jarret Olsen was tonight’s Dave’s Auto Body Crunch-Time player of the game. He scored 22 points. Ethan Meeker had 25 points and Eric Thompson had 15. Ethan Meeker and Kivontay Shaw had 7 rebounds each. The boys will play two games on Saturday scheduled at 10:40 A.M. and 7:40 P.M. At the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament this afternoon, the GHS boys defeated Team Englewood from the Chicago Public League, 71 – 28. Brad & Jim awarded GHS player Jacob Ross as the Dave’s Autobody Crunch-Time Player of the Game. Jacob scored 7 points and led the Streaks with 6 rebounds (along with Cody Hawthorne) in very limited minutes.
