The Rock Island Rocks are in town this evening for a key Western Big 6 girls basketball game with the Silver Streaks.
The Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys won on the road in a close game against Campaign Centennial to maintain their unbeaten season 56-52.
MACOMB, Ill. (AP) — Garret Covington scored 18 points, Jabari Sandifer added 11 with eight assists and seven rebounds and Western Illinois pushed past Alabama State for a 78-68 victory on Saturday night.

The Galesburg Silver Streaks Boys Basketball team needed overtime, but defeated Moline in Western Big 6 Conference play last night 72-67.
The GHS Silver Streaks Girls the Geneseo Maple Leafs 57-30. This makes the girls 10-0 for the season and Geneseo falls to 2-7 for the season. The girls will play next on Monday against Rock Island with a pre-game set for 6:06 and tip off at 6:30 with play by play from Erik Gibson and Tom Meredith. And don’t forget the boys are playing later tonight against Champaign Centennial. The boys pre-game is set for 6:10 tonight and a tip off of 6:30 with play by play from Brad Bennewitz and Jim Lee.
