The Galesburg High School boy’s basketball team will take an undefeated record into its’ long-awaited matchup with Western Big 6 Conference co-leader Rock Island next week.
There will be basketball at John Theil Gymnasium tonight, as the Silver Streaks boys will host the Dunlap Eagles.
The GHS Silver Streaks boys basketball team beat the Dunlap Eagles tonight 62-50. This makes the Streaks boys 17-0 for the season, extending the School’s new all time record for starting win/loss record. Dunlap falls to 5-9 for their season. The boys will not be playing again for quite a while. Their next game isn’t until Friday January 16th at home against Rock Island with a pre-game set for 7:06 here on WGIL and the tip set for 7:30 with play by play from Brad Benewitz and Jim Lee.

The Galesburg Boys Basketball added to their undefeated streak Saturday by beating the Geneseo Maple Leafs 70 to 54.
The Galesburg Silver Streaks get back into action today after having most of the week off following the end of tournament play, putting their combined 31-1 record on the line.
The Silver Streaks Boys, missing two crucial players, managed to keep their winning streak alive tonight as they beat out the Geneseo Maple Leafs 70 – 54. This puts the GHS boys 16 – 0 which is the best start in school history so congratulations to them. The Silver Streaks Boys try to make it 17 – 0 as they play again on Tuesday night at John Thiel Gymnasium against Dunlap to start the MLK Classic.
