LOVES PARK, Ill. (AP) — A popular sledding hill at a northern Illinois municipal park will soon be off-limits for a state-mandated environmental cleanup.

The Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women’s Shelter had a very successful fundraiser on Saturday during their annual Harvestime Share-A-Thon on WGIL . Their goal was $50,000 and with the generosity of over 500 contributors, they raised a total of $66,195.
WGIL- 1400 AM and 93.7 FM – is hosting the 32nd Annual “Harvestime Share-A-Thon” today, a benefit for the Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women’s Shelter. From 7 am until 6 pm, you can hear interviews, testimonials and reports on the ministry of the Rescue Mission, Women’s Shelter and the Women’s Pregnancy Center.
You’ll also hear Christian music performed by local artists and updates on the progress of the Share-A-Thon. This year’s emcee is Rick Welty, a long-time friend of the Mission. The goal this year is to raise $50,000 (approximately 12 percent of the Mission’s annual budget).
