The National Weather Service has issued a TORNADO WATCH in effect until 7pm for the following counties in our area: Knox, Warren, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, Peoria, Stark, and Mercer Counties, along with parts of Iowa and Missouri. That means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in and close to the watch area. Tune in to AM 1400 WGIL if any warnings are issued. Stay with us for more details.

Louise Ann Trombitas, 84, of Galesburg, formerly of New York, died at 3:22 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at home with her family by her side.
