The Galesburg Silver Streaks take on the Raiders from East Peoria High School in their season opener tonight. This is the first weekend of our Community Food Drive. We’ll accept any non-perishable food items as well as cash donations. Purchase something extra while you do your shopping or bring something from your pantry at home. Every donation helps.
Our first hour guest around 7:15 will be former judge and local historian Harry Bulkeley. We’ll talk about the underground railroad history in Galesburg. Just after 8:00, it’s our ask the expert hour. We’ll be joined by Erin Olson and other staff from the Knox County Health Department. We’ll get the facts on ebola, talk about cold and flu season, immunizations as well as talk about the Health Department’s new extended hours.
WGIL’s “Galesburg Live” will focus today on some the people you’ll be asked to vote for in Tuesday’s General Election.
