Galesburg Police are investigating a series of burglaries to Locust Street apartments from earlier this week.
Officers were dispatched to 65 Locust for two burglaries on Monday where two apartments were reportedly broken into through the ceilings.
At around 5:46 pm, officers were dispatched to an apartment where a 45-inch LG television, 55-inch Vizio television, and several high-dollar shoes, including Air Jordan’s, were taken.
The resident advised that the ceiling in the hallway was broken and appeared that someone had broken into the attic.
Later that night around 11:27, officers responded to an adjoining apartment where the resident had a similar break-in.
That apartment had a 32-inch television, keyless safe, Nintendo Wii, and Nike Boots were taken.
In total, around $2,300 in merchandise were taken.
