Galesburg firefighters on Friday responded to a garage fire on the 400 block of N. Cedar St. that they believe was intentionally set.
All three stations and 11 personnel on duty arrived to fight the blaze and encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the corner of a detached garage.
The garage was also near another garage.
Preliminary damage estimates stand at $5,000.
Galesburg Police and Fire believe that the fire was intentionally set and they’re continuing to investigate.
