The Henry County town of Galva is a top 25 finalist for the Levitt AMP Grant award for the 2020 year.
By placing second in the national competition, the small town is a step closer to presenting a Levitt AMP Music Series in the community next summer.
Galva has been awarded the $25,000 matching funds for the last two years, resulting in lots of free music over the summer at Wiley Park.
A number of factors are considered when selecting the recipients, including community support, a proven track record of producing professional concerts, and a programing philosophy of inclusive, family-friendly entertainment.
Winners of the grant will be announced on December 20th.
