Lombard Acts of Kindness Week

Lombard Acts of Kindness Week Oct. 2nd-Oct. 6th
Sponsored by the Take a Stand Club

Adult LAK Participants:
Adult community members are asked to purchase LAK tickets from the front office at Lombard Middle School. Each ticket purchased is a promise that you are going to perform an act of kindness on behalf of the students of Lombard Middle School during the week of October 2nd-October 6th. The tickets not only get our school and club name out into the community, they also show our students that they can change the world through their actions. Donations can also be made on the www.takeastandclub.weebly.com website to help support this student led organization.

Student Participants:
Students do not need tickets to participate in Lombard Acts of Kindness, but they do need to keep track of their acts of kindness and turn their totals in to their Advisory teachers. Prizes will be given to the top student and top advisory class. Need some ideas? Go to www.takeastandclub.weebly.com and click on the LAK ideas button.

October Two, Wear Blue Day!

On October 2nd please wear a blue shirt to show support for the World Day of Anti-Bullying. Any blue shirt will work, but if you would like to purchase a shirt from the Take a Stand Club, t-shirt forms will be available at Lombard in the front office.

Go Global Campaign:
Do you have an aunt in Scotland, a cousin in Kentucky, or know someone traveling or serving overseas in the military? Ask them to perform an act of kindness in our name for Lombard Acts of Kindness Week and let us know where in the world your kindness has spread by e-mailing mkeith@galesburg205.org or tagging it #wearelombard on Twitter so that we can mark it on our website. During the last campaign we were able to reach 6 continents, 10 countries, and 31 states.

Poster Contest: Create a poster about kindness to enter in our poster contest. Posters must be turned in to Ms. Keith by October 5th at 3PM to be entered.
