Middle school and high school students can take part in a manufacturing camp this summer hosted by Carl Sandburg College’s Corporate & Leisure College.
July 30th through August 3rd, students aged 11 through 16 will participate in various types of manufacturing through hands-on activities.
In a news release from Sandburg: participants will learn about various types of manufacturing through hands-on activities, company tours, guest speakers and more.
Students will attend the camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. July 30th through August 2nd and 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on August 3rd.
Participants will also get company tours and hear presentations from guest speakers.
Families of attendees will also be encouraged to attend a certificate of completion ceremony on the camp’s final day.
Local businesses and sponsors have made the camp possible by offering scholarships to attendees.
Registration for the camp is $59 and the deadline to register early is July 2nd – the final registration deadline is set for July 20th.
Participants are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
