Property taxes bills will be coming next week and you’ll want to be aware of the details before the due date gets too close.

The Knox County 2017 real estate tax bills are being mailed out on Friday, May 4th, and Treasurer Robin Davis is reminding residents to contact her office if they do not receive their bill by May 11th. Installment due dates are for June 6th, and for September 6th.

Payments can be made at the Knox County Courthouse – either in the Treasurer’s Office or the drop boxes located at the north and east exits of the building. Those payments are collected at 8:30 in the morning and posted as the prior business day.

Additionally, payments can be mailed to the County Collector, Knox County Courthouse, at 200 South Cherry Street in Galesburg.

Besides paying at the courthouse, there are several other ways for residents to get their property tax bills paid.

Taxes can be paid with credit or debit card online www.epayillinois.com or by phone at 1-877-690-3729 with code 7020 – with an additional fee being charged to the cardholder.

With the exception to Wells Fargo, property taxes can be paid at banks in Knox County as well.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Treasurer’s Office during office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
