A Cedar Rapids, Iowa, man has been taken into custody after a “shots fired” call was reported on Interstate 80 in Henry County.
25-year-old Frank Scott is facing numerous criminal and traffic offenses, according to the Illinois State Police.
At around 7:00 p.m. last night, officers were dispatched to I-80 between Annawan and Atkinson for the shots fired call.
The suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop was attempted. Scott allegedly fled police and the pursuit with officers began.
The vehicle would crash in the area of Exit 1 on I-80, near the Hampton exit. After a manhunt was conducted, Scott was arrested.
Police say he was transported for medical treatment from injuries sustained in the crash.
