Perry tells WGIL some of the other events to expect at the festival, such as the chicken and pig scramble and celebrity impressions by Kevin Adams.
“Thursday night is the famous pig and chicken scramble, and then rides are from 6 to 9 :30 for armbands [which] are $18 and then Friday night is the figure 8 at 7 p.m.,” says Perry. “Saturday morning is our livestock judging starting at 8 a.m. and then that night on Saturday starting at 6 p.m. is our entertainment, which is Kevin Adams impressionist ‘Revue of the Stars’.”
Perry says on Monday they will be presenting awards and holding a livestock auction as well.
The Abingdon Community Festival will be held at the Abingdon Festival Grounds on Highway 41 starting tomorrow at noon and will run through Monday night.
