Mr. Erasmo P. DeLaCruz, Sr., 61, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 10:44 am Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Seaton, Illinois.
He was born August 9, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas the son of Renaldo and Herminia Perez DeLaCruz. He first married Sally Calhoun DeLaCruz in Galesburg. He later married JoAnn Nichols DeLaCruz in Galesburg on September 11, 2011. She survives.
Erasmo is survived by one son, Erasmo P. (and Grace Alvarado) DeLaCruz, Jr. of Galesburg; three daughters, Nicole (and Randy) DeLaCruz Wilson of Abingdon, Illinois, Rachel (and Travis Mahnesmith) DeLaCruz of Oneida, Illinois and Tabitha (and Josh) DeLaCruz Head of London Mills, Illinois; four brothers, Ray (and Margie) DeLaCruz, Jr. of Galesburg, Carlos (and Eleanor) DeLaCruz of San Diego, California, Jessie (and Linda) DeLaCruz of Galesburg and Frank DeLaCruz of Leigh High Acres, Florida; one sister, Martina Perez of Monmouth, Illinois and thirteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Emilio, Joe and Israel.
Erasmo was a self-employed handy man for several years in the Galesburg area. He was attending the Northwoods Church. Erasmo loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and brother.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday June 23, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Pastor Scott Cramer will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday June 22, 2016 at the chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral service with private burial of cremated remains on Friday, June 24, 2016 in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
