A Galesburg man is held on $125,000 bond after his arrest yesterday on a home invasion warrant.

Police reports show 27-year-old Christopher A. Jamison was identified in a May 15 attack in the 600 block of Home Boulevard.

Jamison is accused of kicking in the door of an apartment and punching the victim in the face several times. Officers were unable to find Jamison at the time and a warrant was issued June 1.

Police found Jamison just before 7:30 p.m. yesterday in a Home Boulevard apartment structure. After a brief chase through the building, he was arrested and taken to the Knox County jail.

While being booked, he continued resisting and bit two correctional officers.

Jamison faces charges of home invasion, battery, aggravated battery to correctional officers and other charges. The home invasion charge is a Class X felony worth up to 30 years in prison.

Judge Stephen Mathers appointed a public defender as counsel and set Jamison’s next court date for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
