Michael Edwin Dalrymple, 67, of Galesburg passed away early Tuesday morning, June 21, 2016 at 1:40 a.m. at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
He was born in Peoria, September 6, 1948 to Milo and Clara Belle (Walker) Dalrymple. He married Mary Kay Tucker and had one son, Michael E. She preceded him in death. He later married Peggy Miller Juhl at their home on Lake Bracken.
He is survived by wife, Peggy Dalrymple; son, Michael E. (and Yasmina) Dalrymple of Peoria; mother, Clara Belle Dalrymple of Chillicothe; step sons, Zak Cochran and Derek (and Lisa) Cochran, both of Marietta, Georgia; step grandsons, Tyler, Luke, and Max Cochran; sister, Patricia Denton; and two brothers, Gregory and Douglas Dalrymple. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald and his father, Milo.
He was proud union member of the Laborers Local 165 for over 50 years. Michael enjoyed remodeling homes and fishing. He had a great love for animals.
There will be no services. His ashes will be interred at a private celebration of life. Memorial contributions may be made to Guardian Angels Humane Society, P.O. Box 96, Galesburg, IL 61402.
