Galesburg native and retired BNSF conductor, R. W. “Bud” Linroth, has authored a new book on the CB&Q Quincy Branch with extensive coverage of Galesburg’s railroad history. The book is entitled, “A History of the CB&Q Quincy Branch – The Northern Cross Route Quincy to Galesburg”. Linroth sat down with Terry Cavanaugh on Galesburg’s Evening News this week to talk about the book that contains over a thousand pictures. Linroth will have a book signing this Saturday ( July 16th) at the Galesburg Public Library from 2 to 4 pm.
