Mrs. Patsy L. Bourdon, 85, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 5:27 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Unity Point Methodist-Peoria, Illinois.
She was born May 26, 1932 in Galesburg the daughter of Ralph and Ellen Lingwall Eckman. She married Jack A. Bourdon on April 17, 1955 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1973.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. (Cheryl) Bourdon of Palatine, Illinois; her daughter, Terry J. (Kenneth) Camper of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Molly, Billy and Emily Camper and Thomas, Amanda and Jaclyn Bourdon; one great grandchild, Brenna Barr; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Bischoff of New Jersey and Margaret Bourdon of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Edward Eckman.
Patsy worked as a registered nurse for St. Mary Medical Center for 15 years. She also worked private care nursing for several years. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1950 and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. Patsy attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
