Patricia Lee Shea, 86, of Galesburg, died peacefully on Wednesday, October, 2017 at 1:50 p.m. in Heartland Health Care, Galesburg.
Pat was born July 19, 1931 in Monmouth, the daughter of Leroy and Mildred (Oaks) Ryan. She married James D. Shea on September 18, 1954 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2006. Pat is survived by two sons, Steven (and Laura) Shea of Cudahy, WI and Tim (and Brian Richter) Shea of Champaign, IL; two daughters, Susan (and Jeff) Sullivan of Cave Creek, AZ and Shari Shea of Galesburg; and one sister, Lynn (and Mike) Porter of Paris, TN. Pat is also survived by four grandchildren, Chris, Emmanuel, Jacob, and Debrae; as well as eight great grandchildren.
Pat worked as a typist for several years, but spent most of her life caring for her family. To Pat, family was everything. She was an ardent fan of all Corpus Christi, Costa, and GHS Basketball teams.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be directed to the GHS Girls Basketball Team or the Knox County Humane Society.
