Donna JoAnn “DJ” Boyd, 60, of Monmouth, IL, died at 4:38 pm, Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Roseville Rehabilitation and Health care Center in Roseville, IL.Donna was born July 5, 1957 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Doyle and Delores (Shawler) Lewis. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School.
She married Mike Boyd in Guymon, OK on March 24, 1984.
Donna worked the Western Stoneware Pottery, MCR and most recently Burger King all in Monmouth.
She loved fishing, camping, baking, hanging out with friends, playing the slots and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include 3 daughters, LaRita ( Steve) Brent, Samanthe Boyd and Sarah Boyd all of Monmouth; 9 grandchildren, Jazmyn Copeland, Akirah Wallace, DeMonte Boyd-Crawford, Quentin Boyd- Crawford, Keshawn Crawford, Brianna Brent, Kailey Brent, Zaylyn Brent, Amaya Brent and one expected arrival; 3 sisters, 2 brothers and step-mother, Kath Lewis of Monmouth, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Shawler, 2 dads, Jack Chennault and Doyle Lewis, and one brother.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 30, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation will take place following the services. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Donna Boyd Memorial Fund.
