Cindy L. Mettler, 61, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 7:55 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017 at her home.
She was born on August 2, 1956 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Yeager) Mettler. Cindy was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth schools.
Cindy was a homemaker; she loved taking care of her family. She founded the after school program at Lincoln Homes in Monmouth. Cindy loved kids, pepsi, her cigarettes, scratch off tickets, and visiting with friends and family.
Surviving Cindy are her two sons, Jason Mettler and Jeremy (Kim) Mettler, both of Monmouth; her grandchildren, Donte Mettler, Davon Mettler, Morgan Mettler, Biancha Mettler, Aryana Mettler, and Maliyah Mettler. Also surviving are her sisters. Helen (Doug) Meyers of Texas, April (Dean) Nichols of Oquawka, IL; one brother, Rex (Debra) Mettler of Monmouth; two sister-in-laws, Laura Mettler of Kirkwood, IL, Lisa Mettler of Monmouth; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her life partner, Jr. Peoples, four brothers, three sisters, and one daughter.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorials can be made to the Cindy Mettler Memorial Fund.
