Bonnie L. Schisler, 74, of Galesburg, died at 7:44 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.She was born July 11, 1943, in Kewanee, the daughter of Everett and Goldie (Kulper) Lowe. She married Donald L. Schisler on March 15, 1973, in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Donald; two sons, Kevin (Jeanne) Stout and Heath (Cindy) Stout, both of Galesburg; five daughters, Dawnn Quinn and Tammy Schisler, both of Galesburg, Jolene (Steve) Woodruff of Missouri, Carla (Bob) Fuller of Champaign, and Ronda Helms of Abingdon; 29 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two sisters, Sandra Swan of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Joyce Gladfelter of Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, and a great granddaughter.
Bonnie worked as a CNA at Cottonwood Health Care Center, Rosewood Care Center, and also in the home health field. She retired in 2003 after 26 years of service. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and embroidery. Bonnie was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of her life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Abingdon American Legion. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the FISH Food Pantry.
