
Mrs. Patricia Kay Hathaway, 69, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 11:25 am Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her home.She was born December 29, 1948 in Livonia, Michigan the daughter of Arthur William and Betty Joyce Curd Handyside. She married David Frank Burdue, he preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Joseph Hathaway, Sr. on May 18, 2002 in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are her two sons; Timothy Robert (and Tonia) Burdue of Portland, Oregon and Jeffery Alan; her daughter, Christina Marie (James) Aldus of Galesburg; two step sons, Steven Hathaway of Kewanee, Illinois and Joseph Hathaway, Jr. of Galesburg; three step daughters, Lindsay Mae Marie, Trinity Jan and Brandy Lynn Hathaway all of Galesburg; two brothers, Thomas (and Linda) Handyside of Northville, Michigan and Robert (and Brad) Handyside of the upper peninsula Michigan; six grandchildren, William, John, Heidi, Gracelynn, Makayla and Nicole; two great grandchildren, Addalie and Kailani and two nephews, Christopher and Matthew Handyside. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara, who was a twin to Robert and one grandson, James Edward Harden III.
Patricia was a homemaker. She graduated from Bentley High School in 1967 in Livonia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Detroit, Michigan. Patricia was a member of the Moose Lodge in Washington State.
