Robert L. Huston, age 65, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 9:58 P.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.He was born on September 25, 1952 in Cambridge, Illinois, the son of William and Betty (Luallen) Huston. He was reared and educated in the Cambridge, Illinois area. He served in the United States Navy as a cook. Robert married Barbara Martin on June 24, 1993 in Galesburg, Illinois.
Robert is survived by his wife: Barbara Huston of Galesburg, Illinois; his children: Joseph Huston of Galesburg, Illinois, Ryan Huston of Galesburg, Illinois, Candy (Cliff) Payne of Galesburg, Illinois; his step-children: Bobby Creighton of Galesburg, Illinois, Raymond Creighton of Galesburg, Illinois, David (Meranda) Creighton of Galesburg, Illinois; his siblings: Micky (Leonard) Gasaway of Colona, Illinois, Sandra “Sam” (Arnie) Nelson of Colona, Illinois; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 21, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at PZ’s Place, 2330 Grand Avenue, Galesburg, Illinois 61401.
