Miss Melissa Sue Jones, 34, of Avon, Illinois, died at 12:20 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Richard L. Owen Hospice House, Peoria, Illinois.She was born December 22, 1983 in Canton, Illinois the daughter of Jay and Susan Marie DeRudder Paul.
Melissa is survived by her two fathers that helped raise her, Jay Paul of Seville, Illinois and Kenny Sullivan of Macomb, Illinois; her sister, Elizabeth (Nick) Kluever of Monmouth, Illinois; her fiance, Andrew Kuehn of Avon, Illinois; her two aunts, Ruth A. Smith of Abingdon, Illinois and Joan C. (Victor) Eckstein of Colchester, Illinois; her uncle Raymond C. DeRudder of Bushnell, Illinois; her niece, Lauren Kluever; nephew, Evan Kluever and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, her brother, Jay Daniel Paul, her grandparents, a cousin, Zachary Milks and her uncle, Joey DeRudder.
Melissa enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved caring for her cousins, Kassie and Abby. She loved her cat, Lily.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Cremation will be accorded and a private family burial will be held at Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
