Mrs. Marian V. Link, 84, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 1:00 am July 18, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center.She was born February 24, 1934 in Galesburg the daughter of William and Estella Swanson Leafgreen. She married Ronald Keith Link on September 4, 1955 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1995.
Marian is survived by her son, James Link of Galesburg; her five daughters, Marsha (Bob) Johnson of Bloomington, Illinois, Linda (Rich) Conlin of Mundelein, Illinois, Christine (Steve) Parks of Galesburg, Sandra Carey of Macomb, Illinois and Mary Link of Galesburg; her brother, George Leafgreen of Galesburg; her sister, Elizabeth (Don) Robinson of Woodhull, Illinois; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Richard and Harvey and two sisters, Helen Peterson and Pauline Sheridan.
Marian was a homemaker. She graduated from Alwood High School and was a member of the First Christian Church. Marian loved her children and grandchildren. While a resident at Rosewood she loved to read, play Bingo, Pokeno and Bunco and do puzzle books.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, July 20, 2018 at Abingdon Cemetery. Pastor Vince Marolla will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
