Ralph “Butch” Budd Williams, 87 of near Abingdon, passed away at 8:34 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home.He was born April 1, 1931 in Knox County, the son of Donald and Jennie (Walker) Williams. He married Lois Rachel Hale on January 20, 1965 in Galesburg.
Butch is survived by his wife, Lois; two sons, Timothy Michael “Mike” Williams of Abingdon and Tom Williams at home; one daughter, Tina Williams at home; and nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Tammy Christine Williams and two brothers.
He attended Avon schools. He later lived in the St. Augustine area and near Abingdon for most of his adult life. He worked at the Abingdon Rock Quarry for many years as a truck driver. His hobbies were riding his three-wheeled bicycle and doing odd jobs for Terry Bell at Nu-Way Auto Crushers.
Cremation will be accorded. A time to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
